Yuri’s Flying Machines in MSFS World

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15UTI (NATO reporting name: "Midget") is a two-seat, dual-control jet trainer of MiG-15 developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich OKB.

MiG-15UTI had its roots in the flight training system developed in the Soviet Union in the 1930s, in which a two-seat variant of a combat aircraft is used as the lead-in trainer before conversion to the single-seat version.

MiG-15UTI Midget remained the sole Warsaw Pact advanced jet trainer well into the 1970’s, because Mikoyan-Gurevich never mass-produced the transition training versions of the later MiG-17 Fresco or MiG-19 Farmer.

MiG-15UTI had good flight characteristics, with the Klimov RD-45F engine; it produces up to 5,000 pounds of thrust, cause level speed at sea level reach to 1,050 km/h..

Noticeable change from MiG-15 is tandem cabins with two pieces canopies. Some variants produced from MiG-15Bis fitted Klimov VK-1A engine with thrust increase to 5,900 pounds for better at performing maneuvers. But new engine has more fuel combustion rate, and less internal fuel tank capacity to reduce flight endurance or range.

The other modifications include hydro booster ailerons control to help aircraft keep high roll rate when maneuver, it also has modified avionics for communication and navigation similar as MiG-17 and MiG-19.

MiG-15UTI had been operated by military aviation users in most Communist satellite nations, when it finally retired during 1990s, some aircraft sold to civil aviation owners as a new role become part of the international 'War bird' scene.

Now BearStudios takes this flight legend aircraft into MSFS world.

9. Selectable aircraft model elements for original MiG-15UTI and modified FT-2/CS-102/SB LIM-2 variants from MiG-15Bis with different landing lights, wings, fuselage compounds on exterior aircraft models, and different gauge equipment layouts in cabins.

10. Flight Dynamic based on data from actual Russian MiG-15UTI flight manual. A custom 183 pages manual for Flight Simulator include in mod package.
