TCE: Textures and Config Editor

	What can you do with TCE? 1. Select, preview and add to FS2004 new Yak-3 variations (designed by you or other people and distributed for free). 2. Manage your Yak-3s fleet: select, preview edit and/or delete any existing Yak-3 variation. 3. Perform pre-flight on any selected Yak-3: Select one of the Yak-3 models. Select display smoke colors. Select engine type. Select cockpit lightning color. Enable dynamic shine. Save your settings and you are ready to go! Repaint artists! Textures templates for easy repaint included.
Flight Dynamics:	Designed by professional jet pilot a BS in Aeronautics. Consulted and tested by Yakovlev rated pilots.
Sound Package:	Realistic VK-105 engine and cockpit sounds.
Documentation:	User's Manual in 2 Parts designed in accordance with real Yak-3 Flight Manual (original 1945 issue).

Another solid product from Captain Sim. The exterior model is excellent, and the flight model captures the tempermental nature of high-powered taildraggers very well....watch the P-factor on takeoff!...and be sure to carry plenty of power on approach! The perception of flying a real Russian tank is well rendered here. The lack of a 2D panel shouldn't dissuade anyone, since the VC is so well done. My P4 2.8G machine gets me frame rates in the 30-40fps range in the VC. The sounds aren't spectacular...but never having heard a Yak for real, I can only guess if they are realistic or not.

Egal auf welcher Seite geflogen wurde, Flugzeuge aus dem 2. Weltkrieg haben es mir angetan, daher habe ich mir neben der Wings of Power P51, sowie der Spitfire von Real Air Simulation, auch CaptainSims Yak 3 zugelegt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Sehr schönes Aussenmodell, ein super Virtuelles Cockpit und die Flugeigenschaften könnte man unter Berücksichtigung der Grenzen des Flightsimulators als realistisch ansehen. Die Yak zu fliegen macht wirklich Spass und als eigentliche Einsatzrolle als Kampfflugzeug in niedriger Höhe ist sie in der "zivilen" Luftfahrt geradezu prädestiniert für Fans des Kunst- sowie Sichtfluges. Was besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, sie kommt gegenüber den beiden anderen genannten Vertretern nicht so FPS lastig daher obwohl sie ihnen optisch in nichts nachsteht. Das auf ein 2D Cockpit verzichtet wurde empfinde ich nicht als schlimm, da gerade der Sichtflug nur im 3D Cockpit richtig Spass macht und ehrlich gesagt möchte man bei der Maschine gar nicht mehr aus dem 3D Cockpit, alle wichtigen Instrumente kann man sehr gut ablesen und man fühlt sich wirklich wohl darin. Ein besonderes Feature bei diesem Flieger ist, das man am Boden durch betätigen der Taste, die eigentlich für das einklappen von Tragflächen zuständig ist, die komplette Motorverkleidung entfernen kann, um den Motor zu betrachten der ebenfalls sehr gut modelliert wurde, überhaupt wurde auf sehr viele kleine Details geachtet die man nach und nach entdeckt. Das einzige was mich vielleicht ein wenig gestört hat war der nicht gerade tief blubbernder Motoren-Sound den ich bei dieser Art von Flugzeug erwartet hätte, dies ist jedoch kein großes Manko, da der vorhandene Sound auch gut ist. Rundherum kann ich diese Yak also bestens empfehlen, sie wird mir noch viele vergnügte Stunden am virtuellen Himmel bereiten. Gruss Dimo
