September 2014. The setup of Muscat airport as shown in the pictures is giving the basic outline and to a certain extend you recognise Muscat airport but it is outdated. 1. Muscat airport has already for a long time a fixed building perpendicular on the old building with baggage handling on the ground floor and passager building on top. The passagers are transported from airplane to building and visa versa by a bus. Secondly there is already a second runway available, but not used at this moment of time (white cross shown). Usage of new runway wil be subject to completion of the new airport terminal. There is a major building with gates (new airport)under construction between the existing and the new runway, and is expected to be completed in 2016. (Note construction was orginaly planned to be completed in 2010). Also all associated infrastructure and highway have been chnaged. This aiport needs and deserves an update.

Great scenery, very well modeled. I love flying into Muscat early in the morning over the mountains, and this scenery goes very well with the surrounding terrain. The only reason I gave it a 4 start instead of a 5 is that it (ever so slightly) impacts my FPS- this is most probably down to my computer. It would have been better if they included some scenery for the city (which is quite barren in FS2004) which would have complimented the airport very well. Awesome scenery nonetheless!

Sehr, sehr schöner Internationaler Flughafen. Immer ein besonderes Erlebnis, vor allem für den "Feierabendpilot", der am Abend nochmal eine Runde fliegen möchte! ;) Ein muss der ein Auge auf das Arabische hat. ! ;)
